Nickle Creek is pleased to welcome you back to the vineyard.
While our wine tastings at the bar are not returning at this time, we are excited to allow our guests to enjoy a glass or bottle on the vineyard grounds. If your uncomfortable being out and around others, the good news is, we are still here for curbside sales and our wines are available at several liquor stores. You can continue to call ahead or email us for curbside service.
At Nickle Creek Vineyard, our goal is to foster and develop our customers understanding and appreciation of wine in a warm and inviting environment while exposing their palate to different tastes and blends. While shopping for a new wine, we will provide you with information of suitable food pairings to enhance your personal wine experience the moment you open the bottle no matter what the occasion.
With a commitment to quality and value, we have developed a fantastic mix of products that are sure to satisfy the novice as well appeal to those with more eclectic tastes. As demand continues to grow for these premium wines, case production and vineyard acreage will expand as well.

In 2007 while owner's Sheri and Steven were driving down the road, they discussed moving closer to home to help out their respective parents. While on the topic, it came up that starting a vineyard was always something Steve wanted to do... Sheri agreed and added that she always felt it would be special to live on a farm. With two young sons, the idea of giving them the experiences and lessons that vineyard life offers felt special. It was settled! When they arrived home that day they listed their home for sale in Ledyard, Connecticut. The story gets better ... the home sold before they could find the perfect place. So, without any place to live, they purchased a 35’ camper and continued to search for the perfect terroir. After looking at 25 different properties, the land on Foster RI was finally discovered. In the spring of 2008 the first vineyard block of 1100 vines was planted.... Trying to keep the boys interested in making wine, Steve told them if they picked out their favorite fruit we would make it into a wine together and sell it in the tasting room. They choose, strawberry blush and summer blueberry, which are now two of Nicklecreek's most popular fruit wines. Steve continues to work full time at a major pharmaceutical company while Sheri manages the vineyard and business with the boys! Cheers and we hope to see you soon!!
